ink, Col-erase, Prisma pencils and markers, acrylics
A commission of Akane, a character of Sato-Kuchibiru. I had so much fun working on this one!
There are at least 5 layers of coloured pencils
on any green thing on here.
The knotwork took 10 hours to do in all. Sketching, inking, emphasis lines, and colouring. =) The sky is Col-erase and a kneaded eraser. There is a base colouring of Col-erase on everything else as well.
I had a blast tweaking her costume! Had a great base for her already. At first I had multi-coloured beading on her, but it looked
way too sweet. Everything was soon covered with a goldenrod and red accents put into it. The flame like colours turned out
to work really well with the background. I usually don't like to have complimentary colours the main two colours, but it's
good here! XD I had the border white at first, but it distracted from the picture. I tried to make it as black as the trees,
but never could get it that dark. I think I might like it this way, though. It brings out the picture even more.
